Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal Bento

Here is another oatmeal recipe. I know I post a lot of oatmeal, but I love it, and it's so versatile.
Anyway, here is my super yummy PBB Oatmeal breakfast bento.
  • PBB Oatmeal
  • Teddie Natural Crunchy Peanut Butter w/Flax
  • Banana
  • Chia Seeds
Here is what I did to make this yummy oatmeal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 Cups Water
  • 1/2 Cup Oatmeal (I used Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free Rolled Oats)
  • 1 Medium Banana (cut in half)
  • 2 Tbsp Peanut Butter (I used Teddie Natural Crunchy Peanut Butter with Flax)
  • 1/2 Tbsp Chia Seeds
  • (Optional) Ground Cinnamon
-In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add the Cinnamon to the water if you like.
-Mash half the banana, and add it to the water with the oatmeal. Stir it together and let it simmer to thicken.
-When the oatmeal is almost to the desired consistency, Stir in 1 Tbsp of peanut butter.
-Slice the other half of the banana. To got the fun ridged look that my bananas have, use a fork to cut the banana so that the tongs go straight into the banana and cause the ridges.

-When oatmeal is at it's desired thickness, pour into a bowl or a bento box. Dollop the peanut butter on top, then garnish with the banana slices. Finally, sprinkle the Chia seeds over the top and enjoy!

  1. The banana part looks yummy! (And cute!) I'll admit I'm a little scared of that much texture in one bowl! LOL! But I'm glad you enjoyed it so much!

    1. It;s really not much texture considering the other oatmeal I have made with tons of fruit and nuts mixed in. this was really all very similar textures.
