I have seen a lot of sandwich roll up on other bento blogs, but I thought my gluten free bread wouldn't hold up to the rolling process. I decided to try it out this morning for breakfast, and I am so glad I did. Not only does it look cute, but it tastes great too. I can't wait to make more of these rolls!
- Lg Strawberry
- 4 Blackberries
- 10 Blueberries
- Golden Raisins
- Pumpkin Seeds
- Peanut Butter Sushi (See below for information)
- I took 2 slices of my favorite gluten free bread (Udi's Omega Flax & Fiber) and cut off the crust. (I enjoyed the crusts spread with peanut butter!)
- Then I put one slice of the bread between two pieces of plastic wrap and I rolled it flat using a rolling pin.
- I spread a thin layer of natural peanut butter onto the top of the bread and carefully rolled it up.
- I cut it into even pieces and placed it into my bento.
- I did the same for the other slice of bread.
Awww! IT's adorable, and it looks like little sushis! You should do a mock sushi bento sometime! :-)
