Today marks exactly one year since I started Bento Blogging. My first Blog post was Wednesday, March 9th 2011. This past year has been a wild one, and soooo many things have changed. My bentos have (recently) become a lot healthier as well as much better looking.
I want to thank all my blog readers, and everyone who has commented on my blogs. Without you guys I would never have put so much into this blog. It really means a lot to me when I see that people have been looking at my blog, and I love reading the comments. I have replied back to each and every comment I received because I am so grateful that people take time out to read my blog and comment on it.
Thank you soooo much.
I wanted to make a special bento for my One Year Blogging Anniversary, so here it is. I hope you like it!
- 100 Calorie Pack Almonds
- Deli Turkey Flower
- Pickle Rolls (Sandwich pickle rolled with mustard)
- Boston Lettuce Leaf
- Tomato Salad (Hollowed out Tomato, filled with chopped Cucumber, Carrot, Red Pepper)
- Blueberries
- Blackberries
- Strawberry
- Sandwich (Udi's Multigrain GF Bread, Mustard, Spinach, Red Pepper, Cucumber, Carrot)
- 1 YEAR (Cut from Strawberry Fruit Leather)
- Heart Logo (Made from Cheese and foodsafe markers)
I wanted this bento to be quick/easy to make, but I also wanted it to be special, so I planned it out last night and drew it using Microsoft Paint.
It looks pretty similar right? I have found that drawing out a bento idea is a great way to plan what you what to make, and how you want it to look, but it rarely ever comes out exactly as planned. But that's half the fun!
I hope you all had a wonderful Year at Kat's Bento Love! I hope this next year will be more exciting and bento-tastic!
SO CUTE! I particularly love the tomato salad; even though it's not something I'd eat; it's so cute and clever! <3!!!! Love all the flowers lately, too! Awesome awesome awesome! MORE, PLEASE! ^_^
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the year mark! Here's to much more!
Thank you Julie. The hollowed out tomato is actually something I did waaaay back when I first started making bentos. I hollowed out a tomato and put ranch dressing in it so I could dip my baby carrots in it. I thought I was being soooo fancy. lol
DeleteAnyway, I thought I'd bring it back for this bento, and I like how this turned out so much more!
The flowers must be a spring thing, I am subconsciously hoping for spring and flowers! lol
Thank you so much, I am looking forward to another wonderful year of bentos!
Well, it's awesome! And YAY!
