Fruity OatCakes Bento

I took the Apple Cinnamon OatCakes I made this morning (Recipe Here), and I packed them in a bento with lots of fresh berries and whipped cream to make a super delicious Breakfast Bento! YUM!
  • 5 Apple Cinnamon OatCakes
  • 20 Blueberries
  • 8 Blackberries
  • 1 Strawberry (Fan Cut)
  • Fat Free Whipped Cream
The Oatcakes are vegan, gluten free, and refined sugar free... but with the addition of the whipped cream the bento is no longer vegan or refined sugar free.  But it was sooo tasty. The problem with fat free whipped cream is that it melts very quickly, so by the time I sat down to eat this bento (after taking pictures) the whipped cream was almost completely melted, but I didn't mind because it made a yummy cream sauce that I sopped up with my oatcakes and slurped up with the berries. YUM!
I have been on a berry and whipped cream kick all of a sudden. Yesterday I went out for an early birthday lunch and the only gluten free dessert they had was sorbet. I didn't feel like sorbet so I asked if they coulf make me a bowl of berries and whipped cream. Well they came out with a beautiful martini glass with mixed berries and a dollop of veeery delicious homemade whipped cream on top... SOOOOO GOOOD!
After scraping all the whipped cream up and licking the spoon clean we went to the grocery store so I could buy a can of whipped cream that I could eat with the berries we had at home.
And I have been eating the whipped cream ever since... I'm glad I bought a Fat Free whipped cream, because I have been eating so much of it I shudder to think what the regular stuff would be doing to me right now. It seems I can tolerate fat free dairy much better then full fat dairy products.

    1. I wasn't too impressed with that whipped cream. But the whipped cream from Not Your Average Joe's was amazingly delicious!
